Weddings

I am an experienced toast master and have helped many
couples make the most of their big day.

You will have invested a great deal of time, energy and  money in planning your big day.  You deserve to relax and enjoy the day itself now! I will take on the responsibilities you would need to do or your best man and ushers. I will always uphold the high standards you would expect of an experienced toastmaster and maintain the professional image of the man in red tails!  I will be present, and immediately available, for all those small little things that might need attention, from more wine to a stitch in time from the sewing kit I always have with me!

I will meet with you well before the day to discuss what your specific plans are and how you would like me to help with that. If you are not sure whether you would like to have a toastmaster then I am happy to meet with you and discuss over a coffee or just simply chat over the telephone.

Amongst the many matters I can attend to are:
  • advice on wedding etiquette,
  • on the day, I will be there in good time and will stay until after the speeches, the first dance, or by negotiation with you,
  • receive and welcome your guests,
  • assist the photographer,
  • organise the receiving line,
  • ensure all your guests are seated in time for the wedding breakfast,
  • announce the entrance of the bride and bride groom and, if requested, escort them to their places,
  • direct the ceremony of the cutting of the wedding cake,
  • introduce the speakers
  • co-ordinate the distribution of presents as required,
  • arrange the circulation  of the guest book,
  • at the completion of the wedding breakfast, liaise with staff in the preparation of the evening party.
This is by no means an exhaustive list and I will work with you to make your day unique and memorable.

"I've known John professionally and personally for many years. I've witnessed first hand on so many occasions how he deals with people and situations eloquently and with minimal fuss. When our daughter married in 2017 John asked if he could be our master of ceremonies, despite the venue 'throwing' in one as part of our package. We didn't hesitate and said yes..! Arguable one of the best decisions I've made. It is a huge day with so much at stake but we didn't have to worry, he took care of everything. He left nothing to chance liaising with the venue several times beforehand to make sure everything would be perfect and it was. He tells me he even arranged the weather. John is the consummate professional, eager to please, friendly and occasionally can be funny..! Please, if you're worried about ensuring you get the perfect master of ceremonies to take care of your big day, look no further. He will not let you down and you will not be disappointed."

A fairytale wedding, but this was no make-believe!
Organising a large wedding can be a daunting prospect so to take the pressure off the most important couple we employed the services of John Green.
John made a home visit around six weeks before the big day and introduced himself and explain in detail all he was able to offer. There was no doubt in our minds that to make the day special for the bride and groom and to allow them to enjoy their day without hassle John was the man.
Prior to the big day John called around the various people involved with the event to introduce himself and explain he was the MC for the day and he was there to make sure of the smooth running of the wedding.
On the big day itself John attended the venue, made sure the staff and other catering crew knew what they were doing and took over the stressful bits ensuring the bride and groom had nothing to think about other than themselves and enjoying the day.
John was visually and audibly present introducing the newlyweds, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. In between announcements John was pretty much invisible to the guests but could be seen in the background busily making sure everything was in place ready for the next part of the proceedings…… the day went flawlessly.
The newly weds, Lauren and Matthew have said how they can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and care on the day, it made it very special.
Also I had many guests saying how wonderful you were and what a difference it made to the day.
I’d have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending John Green MC to cover your event, you won’t regret it.
Thank you John.
